Self-Regulation & Compliance

The National Federation of Public Benefit Organizations (PBOs) – Kenya plays a pivotal role in promoting self-regulation, accountability, and good governance across the PBO sector. Guided by Section 21 of the PBO Act, 2013, we ensure that member organizations operate ethically, lawfully, and sustainably while delivering impactful services to communities.

What is Self-Regulation?

Self-regulation refers to the voluntary adoption of ethical standards, codes of conduct, and compliance measures by PBOs to ensure transparency, accountability, and responsible management.

The Federation supports member organizations to adopt, implement, and monitor self-regulation frameworks in alignment with the PBO Act, regulations, and best practices.
