Membership
Membership in the National Federation of Public Benefit Organizations (PBOs) – Kenya brings together Public Benefit Organizations, NGOs, and CSOs under a recognized national umbrella body established under the Public Benefit Organizations Act, 2013.
As a member, your organization becomes part of a strong collective that promotes self-regulation, advocacy, coordination, and capacity strengthening for a credible, accountable, and impactful PBO sector in Kenya.
Who Can Become a Member
Membership is open to:
Registered Public Benefit Organizations (PBOs)
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
Regional, county, and thematic PBO networks
Organizations operating in compliance with Kenyan laws and regulations
All applicants must demonstrate commitment to:
Ethical conduct
Good governance
Transparency and accountability

Roles & Responsibilities of Members
Members are expected to:
Uphold the Federation’s constitution, code of conduct, and policies
Operate in compliance with the PBO Act, 2013, and other applicable laws
Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical practices
Participate in Federation activities and forums
Pay membership fees as prescribed
